The big reveal is here—last week’s announcement of an announcement has now turned into the launch of a full-fledged summer campaign. The Star Atlas team officially unveiled Star Atlas Summer, a month-long stretch packed with product launches, community events, and cinematic reveals. At the heart of it are three Town Halls, with the first set for July 30th. That day will also bring the release of the long-anticipated UE5 Summer patch, alongside the public debut of the first cinematic video in a new trilogy. It’s shaping up to be a busy and exciting season!

The past week was very light on news. The only real news, which even flew mostly under the radar, is that the Holosim beta period is wrapping up soon. Furthermore, we got an announcement of an announcement! Other than that, the Community Week preparations are well underway, and the PIP-18 is open for voting for a few more days!

It was a relatively calm week in Star Atlas, but not without notable updates. The latest Atlas Brew featured part two of the C4 Q&A with Brett (VP of Engineering), revealing new details about Crafting Habs, Claim Stakes, and combat mechanics. Meanwhile, FIC 3 and 4 recipes went live in SAGE, the team dropped new sneak peeks, and the next Community Week was teased, including the return of the Joni Awards and a DAC vs. Team showdown in UE5!

This week brings two new FICs and a rework of how buy orders spawn to SAGE Labs, along with confirmation that Tier 5 Starbases will secure early control of Core Systems in the upcoming C4 release. Meanwhile, last week’s Atlas Brew revealed key C4 mechanics, covering system control, repairs, and storage. StarPath V2 is officially being phased out, with a new referral system expected in the future. Finally, PIP-17 was approved!
